The days have arrived as Stack Exchange 2.0 sites are beginning their betas. If you are unfamiliar with Stack Exchange or Stack Exchange 2.0, check out the introduction blog post. Stack Exchange uses the engine that powers the original trilogy of Q&A websites that began with Stack Overflow.

I’m a private beta member of two sites that have launched: Web Applications and Pro Webmasters

I’m a huge fan of these types of sites. They work extremely well at creating a strong and knowledgeable community around a focused topic. Check out the Area 51 Stack Exchange Proposal site for all the great ideas that are being proposed. If you find a community that you would like to see formed, commit to joining the beta when the site reaches enough committed users.
